I was first introduced to masquer ministries through a friend who was in the shows. I quickly fell in love. By the grace of God I was given the oppurtunity to join and I couldn't be more greatful for the experience.
So far I've only been in one show, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. I had no previous experience in theatre, but had been involved in choir during school. I can honestly tell you, the run of the show changed my life. It was so much more than simply "being in a show". As a christian, it spiritually filled me and lifted me up... it gave me a certain strength and encouragement that I really needed at the time, and it continued to help my spirit, knowledge, confidence, and love for God and others grow. However, what still amazes me, is that even though I've gained all this and it seems like it's all for me, I've been able to give back to people and speak the truth to them through the art that is theatre... and I'm hooked.
I may be a newbie to the group, but I couldn't feel more at home or more excited for the christmas production! I can already tell after only one rehearsal, that my experience with the run of this show, will only be better than the last.
